USA: Florida- The Sunshine State

I got this card from Postcrossing with official ID US-2266670. Card is dated June 10, 2013. Wow! I have this card for 7 years already.

Florida (Capital City: Tallahassee) is coin as "The Sunshine State" reading the word sunshine, I assume that they have many beautiful beaches there :) and I am right! this is what the postcard says "Florida is he perfect vacation hot spot. Well known for its long sandy-white beaches, crystal-clear tropical waters (just like our Boracay here in the Philippines) endless warmth and sunshine, and some of the most beautiful sunrise and sunsets.

According to nationsonline:

Florida is the southeasternmost US state is a popular tourist destination and home to a variety of attractions like Walt Disney World, Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center, the Universal Orlando Resort, Miami Beach, the Ten Thousand Islands, the Everglades, Key West, and the Florida Keys. The territory of La Florida was ceded to the United States by Spain in 1819; it was then known as Florida Territory. Admission to the Union on 3rd March 1845, as the 27th state.

And I super love the stamps! look, isn't it beautiful?

USA: Texas- Lone Star State

Welcome to Texas! :) Capital City is Austin. So, What comes to mind when you hear Texas? Me? to be honest, I relate it to rodeo, cowboy, horse. Texas is coin as the Lone Star State for its former status as an independent republic, and as a reminder of the states struggle for independence from Mexico. A Lone Star can be found on the Texas state flag and on the state seal. By land area Texas is 2nd largest state in US by both area (after Alaska) and population (after California). Largest City is Houston. Largest Metro is Dallas- Forth Worth Metroplex.

..and I love reading messages in my postcard. This card was dated July 9, 2011. I have this for 9years! and oh, I love the stamp! Makes my postcard complete if there is a stamp on it. Thank you Dave. by the way this is a Postcrossing Official card with ID US-11999409. Thank you Dave!

CANADA: Parliament Building

Welcome to Ottawa, Canada🍁. My dream place to live and work. In the very near future 🇨🇦🙃

Ottawa is the Capital city of Canada. Before when I hear Canada, I thought they are part of USA, but no. Canada is under the Monarchy of UK. This is the reason why language in Canada is in English and some part is speaking French. They are compose of Provinces and Territories. If I am not mistaken 10 provinces and 3 territories. They are the following: Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, New Foundland and Labrador, Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Saskatchewan and Yukon. 

above is a parliament building where the Prime Minister live as what Mommy Willa says in her card. 

Mommy Willa is a fellow mommy blogger before and online acquintance. This card is stamp dated August 10, 2011. And I love my stamp, I believe this is a limited edition stamp. Prince William and Princess Kate I think was newlywed when this stamp was printed. Thank you Mommy Willa! This is a 9 year old postcard already. 😊

RUSSIA: Kazan Kremlin

This card is from Russia. Official card from Postcrossing (RU-4324063). This is part of UNESCO, and it says, Kazan Kremlin was built on an ancient site dates from the Muslim period of the Golden Horde and the Kazan Khanate. It was conquered by Ivan the Terrible in 1552 and became Christian See of the Volga Land. The only surviving Tatar fortress in Russia and an important place of pilgrimage, Kazan Kremlin consist of an outstanding group of historic buildings dating from 16th to 19th centuries (wow! That old already) 

This is what the sender wrote in the postcard:

"Hello, i live in Kazan Russia, my name is Aleksandra. Here in the card the is one Kazan Kremlin, which is more than a 1000 years old. Happy Postcrossing". Card dated 06.01.2016

This is one of my fave cards among the many cards I have. Actually, almost of my cards that is from Russia is very beautiful. I also love the stamp! Anything Kremlin is nice 😊

At Postcrossing Again!

Last October 8, 2020 I tried to retrieve my postcrossing account but I can't remember my password. So I decided to create a new account or maybe if I have time, I will contact the admin if I can have it again. My username there is ItsMeShengkay. If your also a postcrossing member lets connect there.

Anyway, my first postcrossing was created 2011 and I stop I think 2016. Been busy in my offline world and not able to have time in postcrossing. And then today, out of the blue I look for my postcard to find some inspiration and see the world through postcard. Below is my album for my postcard. I label them " postcrossing official cards", "Asia" cards from direct swap and join postcrossing forum games. Some cards are from online friends. I have I think around 300 cards 😁

Hello October!

Hello October! 

Its a third day of October now in my place (Philippines). Its been 4yrs I think the last time I open this blog and out of nothing I tried to check if this is still working. Its still here!!! this was under a domain of postcardloverph.com but I never renew it and its back to my blogspot account, which is fine to me. I was thinking of giving it a try again to be back on my postcard collection. A way of learning and seeing places around the world through postcard. Why not, right? So I hope I will have the inspiration or should I say motivation to update this religiously.

Today, I decided to buy a custom domain postcardloverph.com and start a brand new postcard blog. Sad to say i was not able to renew my postcardlover.com domain and now someone owns it. I feel bad, YES. But im the kind of person who dont dwell too much on something that will just make me feel bad. I just thought that something better will come, out of that. So yeah, i think this is a good kick off for the coming 2016 (so early I know :) ) and I'll be more visible online for the coming days especially here. My shengkay.com is also live now and hopefully will be updated regularly.

So welcome to myself again to online world.
